Don doesn’t care for school. He’s an outcast, drifting through classes and social situations, doing all he can to bury his troubled family life. He keeps it bottled up until he meets Becca, the school’s annual theatre reject. Together, they form a rag-tag bond, and find safety in one another. She shares her insecurities; he reveals his dark secrets. When she’s placed in ensemble for yet another play, they decide to put on their own theatre production: a gargantuan jungle epic. But as they get deeper into the project - and the nightmarish stresses rise - their relationship is threatened. Becca’s insecurities turn to cruelty, while Don is forced to confront his own hidden trauma.
